Plenty of Australian homes in regional towns and on the edges of cities are not served by fixed-line nbn. For many of them, the realistic options come down to fixed wireless: an antenna on the roof that talks to a nearby tower. Superloop now sells two quite different versions of this, nbn Fixed Wireless and its own Fixed Wireless Wave service, and it is worth understanding how they differ before you sign up.
This guide compares the Superloop fixed wireless plans side by side. Prices, speeds and conditions come from superloop.com and were checked on 3 November 2026. Plans and promotions change regularly, so check the Critical Information Summary on the live page before ordering.

What Is Fixed Wireless?
Superloop describes fixed wireless as an internet service that is fixed to a physical location, unlike mobile broadband, but which uses radio signals rather than cables to reach the home. A radio antenna and dish are installed on the roof and pointed at a nearby tower. A data cable runs from the antenna to a socket inside, where a power-over-ethernet device powers the antenna and connects to your Wi-Fi router.
Superloop notes that the connection needs a clear line of sight between your home and the tower, and says it checks this during the order process.
Superloop nbn Fixed Wireless Plans

Superloop’s nbn Fixed Wireless plans run over the nbn network. When checked, there were three speed tiers, each discounted for the first six months:
- Wireless Plus 100/20: $77/month for 6 months, then $92. Typical evening speed 80/12 Mbps.
- Wireless Home Fast 250/20: $83/month for 6 months, then $98. Typical evening speed 160/12 Mbps.
- Wireless Super Fast 400/40: $93/month for 6 months, then $108. Typical evening speed 250/15 Mbps.
Each plan saves $90 over the first six months, and a free modem option was available if you stay for 24 months. The offers were for new residential nbn customers, and Superloop asks for 30 days’ notice to cancel. Typical evening speeds are measured between 7pm and 11pm and are not guaranteed.
Superloop Fixed Wireless Wave (mmWave)
Fixed Wireless Wave is a different product built on Superloop’s own network rather than the nbn, using millimetre wave (mmWave) radio. Superloop explains that traditional fixed wireless does not provide symmetrical upload speeds, whereas mmWave allows upload and download speeds to match. That matters if you upload large files, back up to the cloud or work from home on video calls. All three plans include unlimited data, but when checked the service was only available in Adelaide.
- Wave 50/5: $59.95/month plus a $249 set-up fee (minimum cost $308.95). Typical evening speed 43.8/4 Mbps.
- Wave 125/125: $59.95/month plus a $249 set-up fee (minimum cost $308.95). Typical evening speed 110/100 Mbps.
- Wave 250/250: $89.95/month plus a $249 set-up fee (minimum cost $338.95). Typical evening speed 225/200 Mbps.
Superloop lists factors that can affect mmWave speeds, including weather, line of sight and tower capacity. mmWave uses frequencies in the 30-300 GHz range, and signals typically travel only up to a few hundred metres, which is why availability is limited to specific areas.

Which Should You Choose?
- You mainly stream and browse: either Wireless Plus or Wave 50/5 covers small households. Wave is cheaper per month but has the $249 set-up fee.
- You upload a lot or work from home: Wave 125/125 or 250/250 offers symmetrical speeds that nbn Fixed Wireless plans do not match on upload.
- You are outside Adelaide: Fixed Wireless Wave was not an option when checked, so compare the three nbn Fixed Wireless tiers.
- You want the fastest downloads on nbn Fixed Wireless: Wireless Super Fast had the highest typical evening download speed at 250 Mbps.
Extras That Change the Real Cost

The monthly price is only part of the picture. Superloop offers several add-ons and discounts that can change what you pay:
- PriceLock: a one-time $25 payment locks your plan’s list price for 2 years.
- Bundle & Save: $5/month off with one extra service and $7.50 with two, up to $15/month in total.
- Mobile SIM plans: prepaid 30-day plans from $30 for 15GB up to $60 for 175GB, with Data Bank rollover. A physical SIM costs $10 to ship; eSIM is free.
- Home phone: pay-as-you-go at $0/month, or unlimited calls for $10/month.
- Wi-Fi hardware: Superloop sells Wi-Fi 7 hardware including the eero 7, eero Pro 7 and TP-Link VB433v.

For example, a household on Wireless Home Fast that adds a Superloop mobile SIM could take $5 a month off the bill through Bundle & Save, on top of the introductory discount.

Final Thoughts
If you live outside the fixed-line footprint, fixed wireless can still deliver fast home internet. nbn Fixed Wireless is the wider option with introductory discounts, while Fixed Wireless Wave stands out in Adelaide for symmetrical speeds and unlimited data.
