Bonfire Night falls on Thursday 5 November this year, but the best organised displays are spread across the whole week and beyond. LoveToVisit, the Cardiff-based booking site for days out, attractions and shows, currently lists ticketed fireworks events from East Yorkshire to Devon, many with funfair rides, street food and live music included.
Our earlier LoveToVisit guides covered rainy-day attractions and London’s afternoon tea buses. This time we have rounded up the Bonfire Night displays you can still book, so you can pick the right one for your family and your postcode.

Why Book a Ticketed Display?
Organised displays are generally the safest way to enjoy fireworks, and ticketed events tend to offer more than a quick burst of colour. Many of the events below include rides, bars, hosted stages and food markets, so you can make a full evening of it. Booking ahead also matters: some events, such as Southampton Fireworks, will not sell tickets on the gate at all. LoveToVisit says it guarantees a price match or better on several of these listings if you find the same tickets cheaper elsewhere.
The Biggest Shows

Galactic Skies, Exeter (Saturday 7 November)
Galactic Skies at Westpoint Exeter combines fireworks from former British Fireworks Champions Sonic Fireworks with 300 drones creating giant moving images across the sky. Gates open at 5pm and close at 7pm, and there are funfair rides, street food and bars before the main display. The event is run by volunteers from Exeter Round Table and raises money for Devon Air Ambulance and local causes. Tickets start at £11, family tickets for two adults and two children save up to 15%, and children aged 2 and under go free.
Southampton Fireworks (Saturday 7 November)
Mayflower Park hosts a Pop Explosion theme this year, with a display choreographed to pop hits associated with ABBA, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Coldplay, plus K-Pop favourites. Gates open at 4pm, fireworks start from 7pm and the event finishes at 10pm. There is no event parking, and no tickets on the gate, so book ahead. Tickets start at £14 with no booking fees.
Norwich Firework Festival (Saturday 7 November)
At Norfolk Showground, the Norwich Firework Festival offers two fireworks displays, live entertainment, street food and a licensed bar. Gates open at 3pm and last entry is 8pm, with parking on site. Tickets start at £12.50.
Family-Friendly and Low-Noise Options

If you have young children, nervous pets at home or anyone sensitive to loud bangs, a low-noise display can be a gentler introduction. Low Noise Fireworks at Old Down Country Park near Bristol runs on Thursday 5 November, with two sessions: fireworks start at 5pm in the first and 8pm in the second. Tickets include live entertainment and access to food vendors and a bar, and start at £13.50, with family tickets saving up to 20%.
Also near Bristol, Fire & Magic: A Tribute to Disney at Almondsbury Creative on Friday 6 November mixes Disney-inspired music with fireworks, walkabout entertainment and funfair attractions. Gates open at 4pm and tickets start at £10.
For a racecourse night out, Fireworks Night at Bath Racecourse on Friday 6 November has a hot air balloon display at 6.45pm (weather permitting) before fireworks choreographed to music at 7.30pm. Gates open at 5pm, parking is free and under-4s go free. Tickets start at £12.

Something a Little Different
Fireworks at Sea at The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare on Saturday 14 November is a great pick if you missed Bonfire Night itself. Entry is from 6.30pm, and standard tickets include unlimited rides, including the indoor Go Karts, before the annual display lights up the seafront. Under-3s go free with a paying adult, and tickets start at £10.

In East Yorkshire, the Beverley Firework Spectacular at Beaver Park takes place tonight, 3 November, with traditional fairground rides, live entertainment between displays and food vendors. Tickets start at just £5 and under-5s go free.

Tips for a Better Bonfire Night
- Arrive early: several events close their gates before the main display, so check the last entry time.
- Wrap up warm: most displays are outdoors on grass, so wear boots and layers.
- Plan transport: some venues have no event parking. Use public transport or event buses where offered.
- Check ride rules: funfair rides often have height and age restrictions.
- Compare family tickets: family bundles can save up to 20% on some events.
Looking Ahead to Christmas

Once the fireworks are over, LoveToVisit is already listing festive shows. Scrooge: Cirque Extravaganza brings Dickens’ story together with aerialists, acrobats and musical theatre, touring Blackpool Opera House (10 to 13 December), Vaillant Live in Derby (15 to 16 December), Bradford Live (19 to 21 December) and the ICC Auditorium at ExCeL London (23 to 28 December). Tickets start at £23, and every public performance includes a Lucky Seat Draw with £1,000 given away.
Final Thoughts
Whether you want drones over Exeter, pop anthems in Southampton, a calmer low-noise session near Bristol or fireworks from a pier, there is still time to book a proper Bonfire Night out. Prices start from £5, and family tickets can cut the cost further. Check gate times, book ahead where tickets are not sold on the door, and browse the full list of events on LoveToVisit.
